Description
19th century Qing Dynasty period Chinese hand painted famille rose enameled porcelain landscape coastal scene bowl depicting fishermen in boats and pagodas. Black four character calligraphy symbols seen to side.Completed with light brown tea glazed scalloped rim and foot. Bottom holds red six character zhuanshu Daoguang (1821 - 1850) reign mark; and is most probably of the period. Measures approx. 2 1/4" height x 51/2" diameter (5.7cm x 14cm). Provenance: From the South Florida estate of a United States Diplomatic Courier for the Bureau of Diplomatic Security, United States Department of State.
