Both black silk taffeta w/ CB bows, quilted linings & deep bavolets: 1 c. 1820 calash w/ fringed silk trim, (few small holes) & 1 1840s winter hood w/ elongated sides & back buttons, (stains to linings) both very good.PROVENANCE: EMILY JOHNSTON de FOREST, 1851-1942 from prominent NYC family. These likely belonged to Emily J de Forest's grandmother.
