New to Jasper52

Extremely rare beautifully colored and patinated table light in the style of the great French designer Jean Prouvé. The stand of the lamp consists of a downsized swivelling stool base, complete with the height adjustment-knob like you find on the stool too. The knob is inscripted with the manufacturer's name Experfi and the address: 68, Rue Pierre Charron. Paris. It also mentions: Breveté S.G.D.G. ("Sans Garanti du Gouvernement") and the license number 542615. This is a license that the French government issued for Industrial products until the year 1963. The shade of the lamp has the diamond shaped manufacturers tag on it, though a little faded you can read "Lumil". By using the knob you can adjust the height of the shade from 42 cm (16.5 inches) high to 57 cm (22.5 inches) high. The arm of the lamp can swing 360 degrees around in the base, with the know you can fix it in any position. It is a beautiful eye-catching industrial piece with wonderful different shades of old industrial green and a great patina that shows the age and authenticity of the piece. It comes with the bulb and has been rewired with old-fashioned new black cotton-wire and is ready to light up any (midcentury) design interior.
