Description
CONTINENTAL MAJOLICA CERAMIC ARTICLES, LOT OF THREE, comprising a figural vase by Hugo Lonitz & Co. of Neuhaldensleben, Saxony, Germany, a floral candle holder by W. Schiller & Sons of Bodenback, Bohemia, and a shell condiment server with twisted fish handle. Vase with impressed double fish mark and "1235" to base, candle holder with impressed "WS & S / 4499" mark to base, server with impressed "U / 26" mark to base. Second half 19th century. 6 3/4" to 7 1/2" HOA.
Vase with scattered glaze flakes and a hairline starting at rim; candle holder with top glued to stem, two shallow chips to outer base and outer edge of sconce, and a glaze flake to base; server with shallow moderate chip to outer rim of one shell. Server with glaze drips and glaze chips to base which makes it sit unevenly, as made.
