Description
One of the most famous Royal Doulton Bunnykins figurines produced, RABBIT IN MORNING DRESS HN 101 was designed by artist Charles Noke (1858-1941). It was introduced in 1913 to satirize the once popular sport of hare coursing, that is, the pursuit of rabbits with greyhounds and other sighthounds, which chase the hare by sight, not by scent. Modeled as a lop-eared rabbit in red coat and tails and white dress trousers with chequered cravat. Potters marks to base.
