Description
An extraordinarily rare and fine Antique Ravar Kirman Figurative Persian Carpet depicting the classic religious tale of Adam and Eve, the Forbidden Fruit, the temptation of humanity from the Devil through the guise of the evil snake, and all of the events which took place in the Garden of Eden. This artistic figurative portrayal of this scene has been realized in the form of this beautiful Iranian carpet which is in Perfect Condition. The rug measures 7.5 x 4.25 FT (2.25 x 1.25 meters). The carpet captures the moment when the Devil, in the form of the evil serpent, had tempted Eve into giving Adam the Forbidden Fruit from the Tree of Knowledge. This fruit was from the only tree in the Garden of Eden that God told Adam not to eat from. According to the tale this betrayal caused God to expel Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden, entered sin into the world, and cursed humanity to not live an immortal existence in this paradise. This carpet mixes artistic and realistic depictions of this moment set against a beautful bordering with a floral background. A piece truly worthy of prominent display anywhere you choose. Carpet #203
