Pre-Columbian, Ecuador, La Tolita (Tumaco) culture, ca. 600 BCE to 450 CE. A delightful ceramic stamp roller, made to dye fabric or paint skin for ceremonies, featuring an intricate negative-resist motif of a monkey set within a winding labyrinth. Size: 1.15" W x 2.45" H (2.9 cm x 6.2 cm)
