after PAUL MILET (French 1870-1930) A PAIR OF SÉVRES STYLE GILT BRONZE MOUNTED COBALT GLAZED ENAMELED BELL VASES WITH COVERS, ART DECO (1900-1940) PERIOD, with traces of painted faux lapis lazuli motif on surface, the bell form bronze finial over a domed lid, one marked with a faint, hand script, number two, opening to reveal traces of a gilt painted interior, within a bronze ormolu band with chaised floral motif, over a tulip form body, ending in a bronze mounted circular socle foot. Height: 7 1/4" Diameter: 4 1/4"
Condition
Gilt paint rubbed almost entirely off, patina throughout, crazing of glaze throughout, some chips on lids, possible repairs and glue residue near ormolu mounts, some surface scratches and wear, but overall in good condition, wear commensurate with age and use.
