Description
A CHIPPENDALE STYLE CARVED WALNUT OPEN ARM LIBRARY CHAIR, ENGLISH, GEORGE III (1760-1820), the canted, rectangular upholstered back over a trapezoidal upholstered seat, within upholstered arms, raised on square legs, with chamfered interior, ending in brass casters, and joined by an "H" form stretcher, now upholstered in Italian, Mariano Fortuny "Mazzarino," pattern number 5114, printed cotton in the bittersweet and ivory color scheme, now discontinued, Height: 39 1/2" Width: 27 3/4" Depth: 29"
Condition
Some surface wear, later upholstery added, casters have some screw losses, but overall in very good condition, wear commensurate with age and use.
