A VIETNAMESE/ANNAMESE BLUE AND WHITE PORCELAIN COURT OFFICIAL, LATE 15TH/16TH CENTURY STYLE, modeled in a kneeling position and wearing an angled flat top headdress centering scrolling and rectangular paneled decoration, above a serene bearded face and long robe with stylized clouds over flaming pearls interspersed amidst scattered blossoms, while holding a similarly detailed vase on his left raised knee. Height: 10 5/8" Width: 4 3/4" Depth: 4 7/8"
Condition
With overall glaze degradation due to long term exposure to salt water and subsequent chemical treatment during excavation, uneven staining of body, marine encrustation present.
