Autograph note on reverse: "I hereby certify that the annexed map is a correct tracing and true copy of the original map of Hugh Hensey, made for Allen Urquhart Jany 5th 1846 and recorded in Cass County as appears by the endorsement of Thos I. White clerk of the court at that time. This tracing shows only a part of said map as it appears at this date 28th March 1873. O.F.L. Smith surveyor Marian Co. Texas" Jefferson, Texas in 1846 as traced in 1873, showing downtown from Bend Street (where river curves) through Public Grave Yard and Court House Square past Jackson and Austin and Market Streets. Built up blocks or lots hand colored in rose.) Fine condition on surveyors silk.
