Description
A huge Etruscan Bucchero kyathos, c. 6th Century BC, on a stemmed foot, the tall handle with flanges on either side at the top and flanked by projections on the rim. The bowl with deep angled walls and groove near the base, the stemmed foot with widely flared base. The front of the handle is decorated with incised line-work with curled volutes just inside the bowl. H: 15 3/5 in (39.7cm). A large and impressive example!
