Description
A Near Eastern terracotta horse with a saddle for rider, c. 1200 - 1000 BC, hand modeled, with stylized features, round, flat nose, pointed ears, applied mane and tail and four tapered legs. The saddle or seat with tall forward facing flange and concave sitting area. L: 3 1/2 in (8.9cm), H: 3 1/8 in (7.8cm). An attractive example with light deposits. Ex Northern California private collection.
