Louis Wolf Company Columbia kid doll body comes to you in half of its original box with 2 original hang tags. One hang tag is L.W. & Co with hand written letters and numbers. The other is the Columbia tag with the part number hand written. There is the remnants of a paper label at the neck, possibly a date. This cork stuffed body has bisque hands and cloth feet, original red, white and blue ribbon keeping the hands in place. Unsure if this doll body came with a head, or from one factory to another to have the head attached later. There is some lifting of the kid leather on one shoulder and some corrosion in the hip and knee joints, but overall it's a very good doll body with these minor flaws. Body is approx 9 1/4" long. Box measures approx 12 1/2" x 3 3/4" x 2 1/2". As noted, this is only half of the box, Columbia paper label on one end with minor loss. 2 old staples hold the box together on one end, other wear consistent with age.There is another kid doll larger, with a number 5 on a blue tag on the top of the neck area, and also number 5 impressed on the shoe. This doll also appears unused and measures approx 11.5 inches tall. does not have the box, but appears to have the original clothes.
