Stunning Yongzheng Chinese Porcelain vase. A celestial shaped vase, globular body, long tapered neck forming into a slightly flared rim, with a concave footed base. The exterior is adorned with gnarly peach branches, bending under the weight of burgeoning ripe fruit growing amongst an abundance of floral blooms. The Peach resemble immortality to which Daoist consider them both sacred victuals. Several Fu-bats can be seen flying around the painted peach tree. Fu can mean prosperity and good fortune which is why the bat has become a symbol for good luck. The underside base left unglazed, reveal pale-creme with burnt grayish-orange spots in the firing.
Mark on base, a six blue underglazed seal script -ZhuanShu- characters, YongZheng Reign Period of Great Qing Dynasty.
