Chinese Qing Dynasty Yongzheng blue porcelain bowl. Deep curvature flaring upward to form the rim, with a slightly raised footing. The exterior masterfully covered in an even coat of a deep blue glaze which terminates at the base to reveal the pure white underglaze. The blue glaze creates a mottled effect around the rim which is likened unto the blushing of human skin. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous craftsman.
Mark on base, six blue underglazed script -KaiShu- characters, enclosed by double fine blue rings, YongZheng Reign Period of Great Qing Dynasty.
