Antique Pair of Chinese porcelain bowls, with hand painted images. Deep curvature flaring upward to form the rim, with a slightly raised footing. The exterior is adorned with hand-painted carp swimming amidst a swirling watery glaze. Carp is a symbol of longevity, wealth, abundance, and perseverance. The imagery is mottled yet the very fine details are still present throughout. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous.
Mark on base, a six blue underglaze seal script -ZhuanShu- characters reign mark, QianLong Reign Period of Great Qing Dynasty.

From Private estate collections of Mrs. Ilene A. Champeau, (1943-present), For over 35 years, she shared her love of history as the owner of Victorian Lady Antiques. She also spent several years teaching a course in Antique Collecting at Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton. She always loved sharing her knowledge with anyone who was interested. Her collection and knowledge of Native American and Chinese artifacts was extensive the wealth of her information will be missed by many.
