Rare first Latin edition. Playful work of supreme erudition that deals with the use of garlands and ointments in the receptions of the ancients. Written in Italian by the famous physician and anatomist Ferrara, author of numerous works of medicine, anatomy, surgery and zoology, this 'fun erudite' was translated into Latin by the Ferrarese scholar Girolamo Baruffaldi, who gave the text a tasty warning to the reader in which explains the need for the Latin translation of this book.
