Details: This lot is a collectible rollerball pen from a local estate.

This lovingly used Visconti Pericle 2001 was made in Italy of black and green acrylic composite with red accents and silver ends. It measures approx. 5 3/4" capped.

The Visconti Pericle is named for the Athenian general and statesman largely responsible for the full development of Athenian democracy and the Athenian empire.

"Visconti first released the Pericle in 1994, and the defining feature of this pen was the unique shape of the clip, which was designed to imitate the helmet of a greek warrior. A modernised version of this design was released in 2001, to be named the Pericle 2001. The new Pericle 2001 has chrome trim and a more streamlined clip on the cap, plus beautiful semi-translucent colours on the barrel." (Fountain Pen Network review)

The owner was the son of the late actor and playwrite Michael V. Gazzo, academy nominee for his portrayal of Frankie Pentangeli in the 1974 Godfather II movie.
