Description

Cast bronze figural Devil bust affixed to an eagle claw leg stand, with original dip wick which are often missing with these desk lighters. These lighters worked one of 2 ways, either with a direct connection to a fuel source, or with a reservoir for fuel, this one has the reservoir. This iconic desk lighter depicts the Devil with a cigar in his mouth that doubles for the flame. Amazing detail to the casting. The lighter is in outstanding original finish and patina and is an excellent example of a late 19th century desk cigar lighter. Condition: (Excellent). Dimensions: 8-1/2"T x 4"W x 5"D.
