East Asia, China, ca. 18th to 19th century CE. A beautiful jade stone carved with an anthropomorphic figure and inlaid into an ovoid setting of a modern 24 karat gold ring. The figure is smiling and appears childlike. The stone setting is flanked by beautiful relief floral motifs on the shoulders of the ring. Size of jade: 0.45" H (1.1 cm); US ring size: 5.5; 7.7 grams
