Description
Southeast Asia, Indonesia, ca. 20th century CE. A heavy, carved wood canteen with a motif of two relief crocodiles on the rounded body. A stopper in the form of a crouched human figure with knees drawn up to chest slots neatly into a square hole in the top of the canteen. A piece of twine is tied through two loops on the top of the canteen, forming a handle. Size: 7.2" W x 8.6" H (18.3 cm x 21.8 cm)
