A finely engraved and coloured celestial chart of the southern hemisphere, with vignette views of the observatories at Paris, Greenwich, Cassel and Copenhagen.
Date: Published in 1779. Engraved in 1777 (this date is printed on the map).

TYPE: Antique 18th century Italian copperplate map with original hand colour
CONDITION: Good; suitable for framing. Watercolour smudge top right.
VERSO: There is nothing printed on the reverse side, which is plain
