Description
Hamsa which is also known as the Khamsah, Khamsa, Hand of Fatima, the Hand of Mary, the Hand of Miriam, and the Hand of the Goddess is a Middle Eastern symbol which is a sign of protection against the Evil Eye. The Evil Eye represents blessings, power, strength, and aids in deflecting the evil eye, a malicious star believed to cause illness, death, or unluckiness. A significant symbol in Islamic and Jewish culture. Has five fingers due to the number five being a symbol of luck. This particular Hamsa is a piece of Israeli Judaica. It is a Craftsman 925SC used traditionally to protect the house against the Ein Hara (Evil Eye). Measures 7.5 inches high by 4.5 inches wide by 2 inches deep.
