1840-60s fabulous and very large carved mahogany Renaissance Revival fireplace surround / mantle / mantel with arched firebox, carved corbels with acanthus leaves and graduated beading, egg and dart molding on triangular sections, extra deep mantle shelf, surround overall measures 58" H x 78" W x 25" D. Wide angle lens was used and makes the fireplace look slightly out of shape - it is not. Note 3-section matched fireback selling in separate lot. Fireplace surround is from a mid-19th century, Elyria Ohio, mansion demolished in the 1960s and put in storage until this year.
