ALTHOF BERGMANN PATRIOTIC BELL TOY | Very rare example, large eccentric heart shaped wheels allowing rocking motions and bell to ring when toy is pulled along the floor, center figure depicted holding bell on pole and leads two mounted horses holding flags, a very desirable piece, center figure is stamped brass, the rest of the toy in tin. Provenance: Malcolm Deisenroth Jr. to Max Berry Collections. 9"

Condition

Right horse repainted and repair to leg, replaced flags in rider's hands, original red paint under factory blue painted jacket color, as noted.
