FOUR PORCELAIN PLATES INCLUDING DELFT AND TURKISH:
Four assorted porcelain plates including Delft and Turkish pieces. The Delft plate has a central motif of a large basket of flowers surrounded by a curvilinear border. Has a label on the back Koninklijke Porceleyne Fles. The Turkish porcelain plate has a scalloped edge with a blue background in the central area with intertwined floral patterns of white, navy, and aqua. Signed and dated on the front. The outer border has the same blue background with alternating flowers and leaves. Signed and dated on the back N. Nur Avlupınar. She was born in Kütahya in 1966. She participated in the class “Development of Turkish Ceramic Arts” in 1984, and started decorating ceramics. The copper plate is possibly Indian, etched and patinaed in brass and copper with floral designs. The wooden plate is stained in overpainted in Pennsylvania Dutch style floral designs.
