An 18th century British Colonial chest on stand. Sandalwood construction with Mahogany crossbanding, decorated with inlaid scenic and floral panels of Rosewood, Ebony, Bone, Pewter and various exotic hardwoods. The upper section with a lift top, decorative Brass hinges and lifts, on a stand with three short, over two medium and one long drawers with molded lips and Brass hardware, all supported by short cabriole legs with carved edge detail. Older refinishing with wear and several older repairs. 52 1/2 x 20 x 43" high. ESTIMATE $1,000-2,000
