Description
A set of 9 blue and white porcelain dishes in a wood box dating from the Qianlong period, 18th century. The box is stamped "Made in the People's Republic of China" and the 8 petal-shaped rays in addition to the central octagonal tray have a woven border motif with flower tracery.
Dimensions are: the box measures 3 1/2 inches tall X 17 inches wide. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: The porcelain trays show age wear, pitting, some firing defects, and surface abrasions.
Provenance: From a southern California collector, acquired in Hong Kong prior to immigration to the US in 1960s.
