Description
A Chinese piece of Hetian white jade with a brown skin carved with 2 chilong standing upon an axe blade, dating from the 18th century. The jade is inset into a metal clip etched with an image of the carving.
Dimensions are: 2 3/4 inches tall X 1 1/2 inches wide. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: The metal has minor oxidation, otherwise it is in good condition.
Provenance: From a woman's estate in Chicago, Illinois. Her father in law collected prior to the 1970s.
