This lot consists of a HAND DRAWN Pastel on Paper Hand Signed "Mary Cassatt" in graphite lower right. The sketch depicts a young girl in a yellow hat from the neck up with the rough beginning of the rest of the figure. Bares a slight resemblance to the 1908 Mary Cassatt (American, 1844-1926) painting "Girl in a Large Hat". Paper measures approx. 12' 'x 8.5''.

This piece is in good condition. Thick paper has some bumps and chips and age-related fading, particularly around the edges. Overall the image is bold, clear and shows very well.
