Rare 18th C. Polished Bronze Figure Dhyana Buddha Amoghasiddhi in Mudra of Protection with healing herbs bowl. Mixed Indian, Chinese and Burmese Styles. From Shan States of Burma (Golden Triangle, Southeast Asia). Height: 11.75 inches. The Golden Triangle is the area where the borders of Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar meet at the confluence of the Ruak and Mekong Rivers. The name "Golden Triangle" is commonly used more broadly to refer to an area of approximately 950,000 square kilometers (367,000 sq mi) that overlaps the mountains of three adjacent countries.
