Description
Roman, Imperial period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. A stunning pale blue, near translucent bowl, made using the glass blowing technique. The bowl is deep, with near vertical sides and a rolled rim. The exterior has been decorated with interlaced "nets" of trailing glass that form a sinuous series of waves around the body. With a broken pontil mark on the underside. Size: 4.8" W x 3.2" H (12.2 cm x 8.1 cm)
