Qing Dynasty, 18th century AD. A squat bronze censer with three stub feet, everted rim with two loop handles; reserved dedicatory panel to the underside with four columns of script translated as made during the Xuande period of the great Ming dynasty, fiver years supervision Ministry of Works officer Wu Bang Zou; with old display ticket. 556 grams, 12cm (4 3/4"). From an important South London private collection; acquired in the early 1990s.
