The wool uniform consists of his shirt and pants both having " The May Co. Cleveland " maker's tags. Three of the wool letters - "F L M" are missing but their outlines are still visible. There is an "F" logo in a diamond on the sleeve" There is no mothing at all to either pants or shirt. The accompanying photograph shows him in this exact uniform and reads "Fleming's Star Battery Mutt and Jeff May 1914 Draudt and Giblin." The "Mutt and Jeff notation is a reference to two cartoon characters - one very short and the other very tall. These items were found amongst the effects of J.Giblin. Giblin played for the Fleming's in 1914 (and most likely earlier as is evidenced by the older style uniform in the next lot), A team named "Wheeler" in 1915, Lakewood Rocky Rivers in 1918 and Favorite Knits in 1919 when they won the Class A World Championship. Please see other lots for Giblin's earlier uniform, photos of him on other teams, and his inscribed 1919 Favorite Knits 1919 Class A , N.B.F. Worlds Champs Medallion. very good - excellent.
