The star of the show is the great big 10.0 carat oval cut earth mined natural tanzanite. This impressive gem has that rare quality not often seen in tanzanite, it is a vividly saturated deep rich almost pure blue, a color resembling the finest deep blue sapphires. Most tanzanites are either too pale or have far too much violet purple mixed in with the blue. This big beautiful gem has very little violet and that can only be seen when viewing the stone side on and from a particular angle, face up and from all the important angles it looks just rich deep blue. The tanzanite is bright beautifully cut and totally loupe clean. If it was a diamond the assigned clarity grade would be internally flawless.

This fine statement engagement ring weighs a substantial 15.42 grams and is set with 2.21 carats of diamonds, which along with the 10.00 ct tanzanite makes the combined total carat weight 12.21 carats.
