Carved, Painted and Giltwood Figure of Salvator Mundi
ca. 1700, probably Italian, the figure of Christ, Savior of the World, standing on a giltwood baroque stool decorated with scrollwork and gadrooning, and set with a carved wooden "cushion" with corner tassels.

Condition
In overall good condition. Craquelure to painted surface with scattered losses exposing wooden
structure in areas. A few small losses, including tip of curls and back of proper left foot. Old repair at back
of left forearm. Base with scattered nicks, abrasions and losses. All consistent with age and material.
Halo is of a later date.
