Suite of Four Louis XV Polychrome Fauteuils
first half 18th century, each with a caned back surmounted by a floral crest, joined to the cushioned caned seat by molded downswept arms, raised above a shaped foliate-carved frieze on cabriole legs ending in peg toes.

Condition
In overall very good condition. All pieces exhibit considerable rubbing to the polychromed surfaces,
some abrasion and wear to the carvings and other normal indications of age and use.
Some minor scattered insect damage that does not appear to affect the chairs' integrity.
Arms and legs of all chairs are firmly affixed, with no notable movement at the juncture of legs/stiles and
seat rails.
The cane on one back is torn, as is the cane on one seat.
Staining and wear to seat cushions.
