Pair of Louis XV Carved Beechwood Fauteuils
ca. 1730, each with a slightly domed and padded back joined by padded, outscrolled arms to the like seat, raised above a foliate shell-carved apron on cabriole legs headed by shell carving and ending in scrolled toes.

Condition
In overall very good condition, exhibiting considerable rubbing to the surface, abrasions and wear
consistent with age and use.
The arms and legs are all firmly affixed. One rear leg exhibits evidence of a past professional repair.
Scattered insect damage.
The upholstery exhibits considerable wear, some tears and stains.
Seat height: approx. 17-1/2"
Width at narrowest part of arms near their front: 23-1/2"
Width at back of arms, joint with stiles: 21"
