Snuff bottle a dual-layered bottle. the layer with two opposing panels decorated with dog.cat. rock and flowers against a gilt painted ground reticulated to reveal the inner bottle painted blue and white flowers.a Daoguang mark tothe base. with stopper.Height 9.3cm.
Provenance: Singapore private collection. Mr Chen Hui Seng a retired entrepreneur and industrialist, is also an avid snuff bottle collector for decades. In the late 1980s, business ventures into China during the early days of the Economic Reform presented him with a rare opportunity to refine his snuff bottle collection. Tan being an active member of various local and international societies, this collection of more than 250 bottles.
