Carlotta graduated from The Ethel Walker School in Simsbury, CT, class of 1957. She lived between London, England and New York, where she worked as a photographer and assistant to Alexey Brodovitch at HarperÂ’s Bazaar. Through him she met Diane Arbus who remained a close friend until her death, as the published letters between them attest. CarlottaÂ’s life in London brought her into contact with a variety of contemporary artists many of whom became friends and whose work she collected.
