Description
ASSORTED VINTAGE LADY'S UNDERGARMENT, LOT OF FIVE, comprising one steel-boned corset, ivory colored cotton and linen, finished with handmade lace and silk ribbon, original lacings, marked "Boned with Steel", measures approximately 34" bust, adjustable waist; one cotton eyelet brassiere, entirely hand-sewn, hand-finished, lace straps, finished with lace, with early ready-to-wear blue embroidered label reads "H&W", with original metal hook and eye closures, band size measures approximately 35"; one pink and ivory steel-boned, fan-laced, silk and cotton early CAMP corset marked on buckles, band size measures approximately 32"; one pink silk tap pants underwear with three pink mother-of- pearl buttons, fully hand sewn and hand finished with scalloped hem; marked "Handmade 28/17" indicating 28" waist and 17" length; and one pair black silk stockings, approximate length 35" with heavyweight sole and hand-stitched line up the back of the leg. Circa 1920. Sizes as described.
Ivory corset in good condition with few minor stains, 2" hole on the front; ivory eyelet brassiere excellent condition; pink CAMP corset in very good condition with a few minor stains, several breaks around boning fabric, moderate hardening of elastic and unraveling from wear; tap pants in good condition with stains from storage and very light graphite pencil mark on the front. Very slight storage odors on all pieces.
