Description
A lovely Persian luster bowl with figures in relief, c. 15th - 17th Century, with narrow pedestal foot and rouletted rim, the interior with a seated woman in heavy robes next to a kneeling man holding a musical instrument, flowers, leaves and tendrils behind and around them. The exterior of the bowl is adorned with curved lines in relief and entire vessel glazed with a light iridescence, the walls of the vessel translucent in some places. 5 3/4 x 3 in (14.7 x 7.6 cm). Light deposits repaired from sherds. Ex Jay Gluck collection; Ex Rilling collection, Orange County.
