A German animated bird music box. Late 19th / early 20th century. Gilt silver case decorated with cherub / putti playing musical instruments among scrolling leaves. The back of the case is decorated with birds flanking a violin. Realistically feathered "pop-up" bird. Measures 4" wide, 2" deep, 1.5/8" high. The underside with German hallmarks and 800 (silver purity).
CONDITION NOTE: Not working, in complete disrepair, see photos.
