Description
Magna Graecia, Southern Italy, Apulia, ca. 325 BCE. A charming ceramic vessel with a flared body and wide mouth and two small handles - all standing on a disc foot. Painted in a pale orange/salmon pink color with a series of waves, chevrons, and interlocking curves. This style of overpainting on blackware is known as Xenon ware, a uniquely Apulian version of an Attic style. Size: 5.75" W x 4.25" H (14.6 cm x 10.8 cm)
