DOROTHY DOUGHTY (British 1892-1962) A POLYCHROME ENAMEL DECORATED BISQUE BONE CHINA FIGURAL GROUP, "Cactus Wren and Prickly Pear," FOR ROYAL WORCESTER, CIRCA 1958, the realistically modeled and painted figure of a cactus wren standing on the edge of a budding prickly pear plant with two full blown blossoms, raised on oval base with manufacturer's mark, with carved wooden stand. Height: 10 1/2" Width: 9" Depth: 8 1/2" Provenance: The Libbie Moody Thompson Collection.
Condition
In overall fair condition with losses to spikes of the prickly pear plant, losses, chips, and cracking to blossoms, rubbing and wear to wooden stand.
