A LOUIS XV STYLE ORMOLU MOUNTED VENEERED FRUIT WOOD AND WALNUT TOP CARD TABLE, LATE 19TH CENTURY/EARLY 20TH CENTURY, the solid walnut square serpentine top with a molded edge, over fruit wood veneered base with a wide serpentine skirt centering scrolling rocaille tendril gilt bronze flourishes, joining cabriole legs mounted with gilt brass rocaille scrolls, terminating with spade feet on French toes; two knee mounts marked "M" on interior. Height: 30 3/8" Width: 29 1/4" Depth: 29 1/2" NOTE: Pine secondary wood on table base.

The top has some mild cracking along the grain, previous paint appears to have been stripped, and a new finish applied, some chips, scratches and expected mild surface wear. The ormolu mounts do not appear to be original to the construction and a later addition, repairs to the veneer of the base, and a few small areas sanded down to the secondary wood. Overall in stable, good to very good condition, wear commensurate with age and use.
