A DERBY PORCELAIN FACTORY POLYCHROME ENAMEL DECORATED SOFT PASTE PORCELAIN FIGURAL GROUP, "Music," CIRCA 1780, the group of a robed young lady standing barefoot on a grassy base with applied flowers, playing the flute, supported by a truncated column with books, a scroll of music, a tambourine on top and a hunting horn with sheaf of music behind, to her side a lounging cherub holding a violin in one hand, a scroll of music in the other, and at her feet a clarinet and another book of music, incised marks: "N217, G." Height: 11 1/2" Width: 6 1/4" Depth: 5 3/4"
