AN UNUSUAL SEVRES STYLE MINIATURE GILT AND HAND PAINTED GONDOLE FORM SNUFF BOX, OVERGLAZE BLUE MARKS, 19TH CENTURY, the oval soft paste blue ground body, with a gilt metal mounted hinged lid, having a scrolling acanthus leaf stern before a gilt trimmed panel enclosing a crowned fleur-de-lis shield, sloping to a flat deck centering a colorfully rendered scene of a courting couple in 18th century costume, seated amidst a romantic garden and framed by parcel gilt scrolling acanthus, continuing to a stylized beastly mask modeled bow, above tapering sides suspending berried laurel swags over beaded bands ending in scrolling waves, raised details throughout, the flat underside engraved with blue tinted intertwined L's flanking "B."
