A FRENCH BELLE ÉPOQUE LOUIS XV STYLE GILTWOOD CANED BERGÈRE, LATE 19TH CENTURY, with brilliant and mat gilt throughout, the crest rail centers a rococo style shell fan, issuing flower blooms met by acanthus leaf scrolls on molded rails, over a triple panel inset cane back, above a cushioned bowed seat, within scrolled acanthus leaf carved hand terminals, on acanthus leaf carved swan neck supports, raised on "C" scroll shell fan and bellflower carved knee cabriole legs, ending in scrolled feet on French toes, the seat and cushion now covered in pale green upholstery.
